Beginners, you’re welcome here.
One of the best ways to learn yoga is through mysore-style practice. You can come any time during the class window. The first session might be 30-45 minutes. When you arrive, you’ll get one on one teaching, learning the basics of vinyasa, one pose at a time — this allows us to work from your unique starting point and gradually build strength, stamina, concentration, breath control, and flexibility.
After a little while, the sequence becomes second nature, and allows you to access deeper levels of concentration and self-awareness.
This style of learning is especially great if you are totally brand new, and/or if you have any injuries or conditions. We have worked with people from all ages, all experience levels, through pain, injury, and beyond.
We don’t expect you to know anything. People assume they need to know the sequence or be able to touch their toes to do yoga. That’s never the case.
Arrive as you are —if that’s half asleep, feeling stiff, sore, or weak…that’s perfect. We feel that way most days ;)
Get to class, and let the yoga work on you!
